Twenty acres.
One living ecosystem.

Est. 2009 12,000+ trees

A plantation is not a field of trees. It is a set of decisions, repeated.

Spacing, shade, soil and water are managed plot by plot rather than estate-wide.

The estate sits on the river plain outside Kuala Kangsar, on ground that suits Aquilaria and holds water without drowning it. It is divided into plots by age class, each with its own planting date, its own record, and its own answer to what we have been getting right.

How the estate is worked.

Nursery

Seedlings raised on site

Propagated from selected mother trees, so the genetics of the estate are its own.

Plots

Divided by age class

Every plot carries its planting date, its species and its own growth record.

Rotation

Harvested selectively

Trees are taken individually and replaced immediately. The canopy is never cleared.

From forest to fragrance

Grown deliberately, season by season.
